Rolling Stones, In The Stars anticipa l'uscita di "Foreign Tongues"

Dopo settimane di teasing la leggendaria rock band inglese annuncia l'uscita, a luglio, del nuovo album "Foreign Tongues". Ascolta 'In The Stars'
I Rolling Stones annunciano oggi l’uscita del loro attesissimo nuovo album in studio, “Foreign Tongues”, in arrivo il 10 luglio in tutto il mondo.
Questa raccolta incredibilmente vivida di 14 brani arriva a meno di tre anni di distanza da “Hackney Diamonds”, album acclamato dalla critica e vincitore di 1 Grammy Award, che ha scalato le classifiche di tutto il mondo e ha ottenuto un successo enorme.
Il nuovo album è anticipato dal primo singolo “In the Stars”, un brano allegro e coinvolgente, da ora disponibile sulle piattaforme digitali insieme alla traccia di apertura dell’album “Rough and Twisted”.
L’album sarà disponibile in edizione fisica e digitale dal 10 luglio, mentre il singolo “In the Stars/Rough and Twisted” uscirà in formato fisico il 15 maggio. È possibile pre-ordinare tutti i prodotti a questo link.

L'attesa con The Coackroaches
Prima dell’annuncio ufficiale di oggi, la band ha saputo alimentare con discrezione l’attesa per il nuovo progetto, anche grazie all’uscita in edizione limitata del brano “Rough and Twisted” su vinile con etichetta bianca, sotto pseudonimo The Cockroaches. Circolando tra fan e collezionisti, questa pubblicazione ha già suscitato entusiasmo e speculazioni sul sound e sulla direzione di “Foreign Tongues”, offrendo un primo assaggio dell’energia esplosiva ed esplorativa dell’album.
Registrato durante un periodo di eccezionale creatività, “Foreign Tongues” ha preso vita in meno di un mese ai Metropolis Studios di West London, con Mick Jagger, Keith Richards e Ronnie Wood che si sono riuniti con il produttore Andrew Watt, già alla guida del precedente “Hackney Diamonds”.
Il risultato è un disco dinamico e lungimirante che cattura il suono inconfondibile della band mentre si spinge in nuovi territori sonori e testuali, consolidando ulteriormente la loro eredità senza pari.
La suggestiva copertina dell’album è un dipinto realizzato dal celebre artista americano Nathaniel Mary Quinn, che ha commentato: "Creare la copertina dell’album per i Rolling Stones è un onore artistico: un dialogo con una delle forze più durature della storia culturale".
Anche Paul McCartney e Robert Smith sul nuovo album degli Stones
L’album presenta interpretazioni eccezionali di Jagger, Richards e Wood, affiancati dai loro collaboratori abituali, tra cui Darryl Jones, Matt Clifford e Steve Jordan.
Include, inoltre, una partecipazione speciale di Charlie Watts, registrata durante una delle sue ultime sessioni in studio prima della sua scomparsa nel 2021.
A completare il tutto, una schiera impressionante di artisti ospiti, tra cui Steve Winwood, Paul McCartney, Robert Smith dei The Cure e Chad Smith dei Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Riflettendo sul processo di registrazione, Mick Jagger ha affermato: "Adoro fare queste sessioni di registrazione a Londra, al Metropolis. Sono state settimane molto intense quelle dedicate alla registrazione di “Foreign Tongues”. Avevamo 14 brani fantastici e abbiamo lavorato il più velocemente possibile. Mi piace quella sala perché non è troppo grande, così si percepisce la passione di tutti i presenti".
Keith Richards ha aggiunto: "L’album “Foreign Tongues” è in continuità con “Hackney Diamonds” ed è stato fantastico lavorare di nuovo a Londra e avere quell’atmosfera londinese intorno a noi. È stato un mese di grande intensità. Per me, ciò che conta è il divertimento. Sono fortunato a poter fare questo e spero che duri a lungo".
Ronnie Wood ha commentato: "L’atmosfera in studio era davvero creativa e tutta la band ha dato il meglio di sé durante l’intero processo. Molto spesso abbiamo centrato l’obiettivo già alla prima ripresa. Spero che piaccia a tutti".
